The first way is labwork to check for celiac disease and food sensitivities. Dr. Hermann uses ALCAT, www.alcat.com, and Genova labs, www.genovadiagnostics.com, for this type of testing. Often, insurance will cover a portion or all of the testing. For those who do not have insurance and cannot afford bloodwork testing, the second way diagnose food allergies is to do an elimination or detoxification diet. Dr. Hermann prescribes the diet and then follows your symptoms to make a diagnosis.
We do bill insurance for medical visits and have reasonable rates for those who do not have coverage.
